Album Cover Project.
I was given a short brief to create a band, their album cover, along with a two page spread in a magazine.
After in depth research, I decided to go with a girl band called 'The Underground' and their album being 'Girls with Guns.'
I created a very simplistic logo for the band that I found worked very well with the overall feel of the album, placing it in the left hand corner not to take it away from the actual name of the album, but still incorporating it.
For my two page spread I wanted both pages to be different but to also continue the feel of the bands image throughout. Keeping the same three colours, black, white and pink.
I experimented with different page layouts and designs, and I love how the pages brokeup into contrasting colours. One white, the other black, and the pink making the page pop and giving it a bit of life.
I included the album cover to show that, that is what the article is about.
Over all I am pleased with the outcome, but it could do with some tweaking.
